Allegrini S.p.A., as producer of Primagel Plus hand sanitizing gel, following the news published in the press, wishes to specify the following:

- Allegrini has always promoted awareness campaigns on hand hygiene related to the prevention of viral and bacterial infections through participation in local initiatives and the development of schools projects;

- Primagel Plus, Medical Surgical Device sanitizing gel, performs a sanitizing, bactericidal, virucidal, fungicidal and tubercolicidal action, and has been tested on Adenovirus, Murine Norovirus, Poliovirus and against HIV and SARS-Coronavirus.
Primagel Plus was developed by Allegrini S.p.A. laboratories and the label bears the following specific: "active antiviral efficacy on coronavirus" - authorized together with the product by the Italian Ministry of Health with decree of 11/29/2010.
This efficacy is declared since the first placing on the market as the term "coronavirus" indicates a known family of viruses.
Coronavirus family causes many diseases, starting from the common cold up to more serious conditions, which the current Covid-19 is, in facts, responsible.
In addition, containing ethanol (ethyl alcohol) as the active ingredient, the formulation is in line with those recommended by the WHO;

- In this phase of international emergency, Allegrini has intensified its production of the product in order to face the various purchase requests, continuing to rigorously practice the normal prices of its price-list with reference to the various categories of buyers;

- Allegrini sells the products to dealers and distributors and is then clearly unable to verify the subsequent steps once they are placed on the market;

- Allegrini dissociates itself from any speculative initiative on the sale of the product and in particular from online sales where the price is now offered at clearly much higher prices than the normal mark-up that the retail market can practice.
